This weekend we discovered a great park in Mayesville GA. The Hurricane Shoals Park and Historical Heritage Village. This is the perfect spot to cool down on a hot summer day. There are great sliding rocks with plenty of swimming holes, picnic areas, a hiking trail, playgrounds for the kids, and the Heritage Village. Something for everyone. And Admission is Free.

We had a great time cooling down in the River and exploring the Heritage Village.

Heritage Village

The Heritage Village was recreated with Historical buildings from around Jackson County Enjoy stories as you tour the Miles Wilson Matthews Chapel and all the log cabins that date from the 1800s. Learn more about the history of the Village at https://www.hurricaneshoalspark.org/heritage-village

I hope you get a chance to explore and enjoy this beautiful Park. It is well worth the trip. Can’t wait to go back again.
