Looking for a last minute weekend adventure? Head over to Myrtle Beach for sun, fun, delicious food, and some thrilling adventures. We were able to snag a room at the Club Wyndham Ocean Boulevard Hotel in North Myrtle Beach. What a beautiful hotel there are four towers, three are located right on the beach and one across the street, tower 4, where we stayed. We had a beautiful room with everything we needed and more for our weekend getaway. Our room was on the eighth floor and from our balcony we had a stunning view of the beach and sunset.
Each tower has their own amenities which can be enjoyed by all guests. If your looking for a great place to stay check this one out. You won’t be disappointed. https://www.wyndhamhotels.com/ramada/north-myrtle-beach-south-carolina/ocean-club-resort-myrtle-beach-a-ramada/overview
Wyndham Ocean Blvd Hotel
Try out these fun spots. Dirty Dons Oyster Bar and Grill. We enjoyed one of their specials on Sunday Oyster, clam, and Mussel Roast for just $12.00. Yum hwww.dirtydonsmyrtlebeach.com/ Hoskins serving up meals for 70 years is where we had breakfast a family restaurant with great food. Get there early as the line can be long at times. https://www.hoskinsrestaurant.com/ . And then there is Moe Moons on the boardwalk in South Myrtle Beach sit back and enjoy a specialty drink and lunch while overlooking the Ocean. https://moemoons.com/
Quaint Irish Pub
Within walking distance of our hotel there were plenty of the typical touristy restaurants with an hour wait time, but we decided to walk a little further and we were glad we did because we found a quaint little Irish Tavern called Flynn’s. We were able to get a table with little to no wait and ordered a rib eye steak. I know not exactly a traditional Irish meal, but when you’re craving steak you got to have steak. It was one of the best steaks I have had in a while, juicy and so tender you could cut it with a fork. Great food, wonderful atmosphere, great prices, and friendly staff. https://flynnsirishtavern.com/
Miles of White sandy beaches
After a restful nights sleep we headed out to the beach, (after a quick stop at the Beach Bar and Grill for a Bloody Mary) Right from the hotel to the beach we quickly got lost in the sand, water and sense of how far we had gone. It was so relaxing and calming that it’s easy to lose track of time, especially when you pair it with a bloody Mary. ( I think that is when we realized we had gone too far, when our glasses were empty.) Time for a refill.
Myrtle Beach, on South Carolina’s Atlantic coast, is the hub of the Grand Strand, a 60-mile string of beaches. It’s also known for its celebrity-designed golf courses. Along its beachfront boardwalk are arcades, souvenir stands and restaurants, as well as the old-fashioned Family Kingdom amusement park and the Sky Wheel, one of the country’s tallest Ferris wheels. ― Google
Myrtle Beach Board Walk
That afternoon we headed over to South Myrtle Beach to check out the shops, amusement park, and restaurants. We strolled along the board walk, checked out Pier 14 restaurant overlooking the ocean, the Ferris wheel at the amusement park, and all of the funky art located along the boardwalk.
The Bowery
The 8th Wonder of the World®… THE BOWERY- a landmark located 50 yards from the Atlantic Ocean. While more than three decades have passed since country supergroup Alabama served as The Bowery’s house band, it’s legacy is peppered all over the Myrtle Beach nightclub that’s within a stone’s throw of the Atlantic Ocean. https://thebowery.com/alabama/
They had so many delicious food options, but today we couldn’t pass up one of their juicy, mouth watering burgers. They were absolutely delicious!
Adventures in the Sky
After a day of sightseeing I convinced Ronnie into a helicopter ride over the beach. A first for both of us! It was a little scary in the beginning especially the turns, but definitely one of the highlights of the trip. I would do it again. We chose to go with helicopter adventures. They were very nice and informative and made us feel at ease, especially for someone who is a bit afraid of heights and small enclosed spaces. Our pilot was great, you won’t be disappointed.
https://www.helicopteradventures.com/ Helicopter Adventures offers you a variety of exciting tours that will give you the thrill of a lifetime! Tours start at 20.00 per person for our 2 mile introductory flight, and we offer several other tours that go as far as 40-42 miles in the air!
Check out our video.
Definitely a trilling and memorable adventure!!!!
